Hmmm...

I have found out that while the regulation submitted passport photo size is indeed 2x2 inches, on the US Passport itself the photo is produced at 1.25x1.75 inches. That being clarified, I have decided to still work within the 2x2 inch boundary since the passport application asks for the photo at that size. I know, picky...picky...picky.

Amblin' up to the starting line...

I've just received the announcement that the 2008 BJP is set to commence. There are so many excited participants, myself included. I realize from the many posts I've already read that there will be as many approaches to this project as there are participants: planners, improvisationalists, procrastinators, production as well as casual beaders and more.

After some thought, I have decided I need a loose framework or theme in which I can work improvisationally in the spirit of the journal. I am also aware of a quirk in my personality that usually needs support or "permission" of some kind to embark on a project or adventure. Kind of like a passport....hmm...that's it! My 2008 BJP will be "Passport to..." and I will keep my project at the 2x2 inch size of a US Passport photo.

Brilliant? Perhaps not, but definitely "do-able"!

Welcome!

I hadn't ever thought anyone would really be interested in reading anything I had to write. Perhaps that is why I talk so fast and so loud, just trying to get my point or opinion across in a world often too busy to listen. However, in committing to the 2008-2009 Bead Journal Project, I believe the written word might be a necessary adjunct to my first attempt at journaling; and with beads, no less!

So first journal, first blog.

Stay tuned...
